Furthermore, the left inner serif (for example, on the letter n) is extended and cut at an angle to compensate for the space within the letter, preventing it from appearing empty. Diagonal glyphs like A, K, R, V, W, X, Y, k, v, w, x, and y don't have serifs but follow the sans serif form, with the ends cut off and an inner serif added on one side.
